As a daily weigher...Which is evidently not a word because it is underlined in red for me- I can tell you that every drop gets a lot of praise and the increases- even if its water from muscle repair from busting ass at the gym- is met with a lot of- hang in there- it's ok- type of stuff. I really would rather no comments- ever- on my weigh ins unless it is some new low because honestly it has been the same 5 pounds back and forth for 3 months. It's comical to me when I read people's comments- though I do understand people have the need to feel supported and that's the name of the game on FS. I also know that i have some people I follow who like to have their weights acknowledged and some who do it just to track. You'll get used to it. :)

Thank you all for your encouragent! Diablo, I really do appreciate what I have learned from you and your princess and others on here who faithfully record. It has been a progression for me... I was weighing only weekly until goal. Then weighing daily but recording weekly. Then I was not weighing daily anymore, and recording only every few weeks. The spiral down happens so quickly to put on weight again. I've decided I'd rather face my "flaws" publicly. I don't want to go away and returnings needing to fight back from a large gain. I am now 3.5 pounds above goal and I'm going to "trend down" until I get there again. I know "trend" because that darn red arrow will appear again with fluctuations if I'm going to stick with recording daily.

erika! Absolutely, there is no condemnation! I'm not comparing. Please know that. Stuff is tough! We can all help each other with support and knowledge and encouragement. Better to return to logging at a small gain than a 30 pound gain, which can be pretty easy to do.

Sherry, I know when I don't log my intake I'm sure to not do well... I am seeing that it is also easier to keep my eye on things knowing I am committed to broadcasting to the world my new gain as a result of my actions. 😁 So far, I'm really feeling better about it. It is keeping me more accountable!

Princess, you are just too famous! 😁 Everyone has to note what you are up to! ❤️ But, I can imagine it must get a bit tedious feeling folks want you to talk about every tenth of a pound change. Right now I am just super thankful for the, support from you all. I feel very exposed! But, I know, at least for now I need this so much! 😁

Diablo, I have to just go back and bask in the, "look at the profile pic... You're doing great!" comment. A huge reason I figured some stuff out last year was because of your advice and your bride's example and encouragement!

I agree with wanting a third color. Our weight is seldom static. Fluctuations are normal. FS is set up for weekly weight logging. Us daily loggers can be a little put off by the warnings and red arrows when we are still have a blue status line. I think yellow would be nice for reasonable fluctuations. In the mean time, I ignore the red arrows if they are not too many days in a row...

My favorite is the "You are gaining/losing weight at a rapid pace" warning pop-ups. Click cancel to enter another weight. Yeah, I wish it was that easy. Oh, sorry, I didn't like that number either, let's just change it to something else.

I should add, weighing daily does take the sting out of it eventually and there are no scary surprises. Will I do it forever? I don't know, maybe. I do like seeing the changes, especially when I can't keep my shorts up.

Katsolo!! So funny. I finally turned off the notifications on my phone. It would give me tips on how to lose weight if it got nervous when I gained. There is no acceptable weigh in for this website. A loss or gain is exactly was Katsolo said- it's always rapid and unbelievable. LMAO!

I'm with John. Red is a danger danger color. Yellows or greens would be a nice change. Red should only be for big jumps.

Whatever the color of the arrow, John, it is the color of the line that matters to me most! And the crazy thing about that is doesn't it change based on percentage of loss for someone? Blue changes to green if I gain two pounds over my goal. Is that the same for everyone, or is that also different depending on how much someone has lost?

Katsolo, so funny! I don't get these "wonderful" announcements or condemnations you speak of. I'm missing out!? 😁 And... For all of you, whom I don't miss but also didn't name, thank you so much for your support! ❤️Sometimes I press the heart botton, and sometimes I comment on journals. Either way it is just great we who are here get this journey and the challenges we face!

I try not to criticize unless it’s something inherently dangerous like someone basically prescribing a fake medical treatment like my leptitoxic troll friends with their quackery. We all have to learn our own lessons in life. And never take it personally if I don’t heart ❤️ something. My feed is all over the place. Varies daily. I do what I can when i can.

Katsolo, you are great! I was talking about the announcements you and Princess were talking about on the FS app. I don't get anything like that. 😁 I wonder if it is just because I have the free version? Sometimes I have faithfully gone through everyone I follow to check on what is going on for them, but pretty often I have a few minutes to just see top few notifications and leave a few green hearts. I think it is the connection that is important... It really helps keeps me focused when I see the work others are doing!
