So Monday I was feeling lightheaded. I have gotten it before—I know what to do. Well next thing I know I’m waking up underneath the car. From what I was told I not only fell over but I hit my head. On the car door and then I hit it hard on the concrete. Never had a concussion before. Been held up in my apt since. Hopefully I’m not gaining wt. I haven’t been to the gym for almost two weeks so been super mindful of my intake especially water. Ugh 😑. Any hot tips to help!? Super cranky and feeling super weird. All checked out by my doc.

I’ve gotten concussions before. Don’t drive, and rest rest rest. Don’t sleep alone either. Follow drs orders. Sorry g_ get well!

Hope you start to feel better. Did the doctor figure out what is wrong? I had similar feelings when I was in my early 30's and found out I was anemic.

If you think the cause may be dehydration and you have been drinking a lot of plain water, that can further contribute to dehydration. Lots of water washes salt from your body. Potassium follows salt and then you have electrolyte imbalance. Lots of electrolyte solutions out there but here is one you can make at home. 1/4 tspn. salt 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup lime juice 1 1/2 cups unsweetened coconut water 2 cups of water. The commercial electrolyte packets that I buy are called RECOVER and I buy them from Amazon. Easy to carry and mixes with anything. DONT drink highly sweetened stuff if you are dry— sugar just makes it worse.

If you got cleared by the medical folks maybe a trip to the chiropractor would help with realignment...especially if you tweaked your neck and shoulders. I can always tell when I am out of alignment - it is impressive on how much is impacted by proper alignment. I hope you feel better soon.

Oh my goodness!!!! That’s scary! Did someone find you or did you ‘wake up?’ Rest well. Concussions are not nice!!! Don’t push yourself to do much. Just rest! ❤️❤️🙏

As Kenna says, lack of electrolytes can cause imbalance. I use PROPEL in all of my water mixes.

You said your doc checked you out. Primary or urgent care/ER? It really does sound like a concussion. Brain swelling can take several weeks to resolve. If you do not feel better soon I think it would be reasonable to do a CT brain. The irritability and feeling wired is from the brain swelling. Do NOT return to gym activity until this is COMPLETELY resolved.

OMG, g_, get well soon! Please be sure to get adequate electrolytes in future. I keep a jar of bouillon powder at my desk, have that a couple of times a day. I also use LiteSalt and NoSalt, to make sure I get enough potassium to stay in balance. (keto WOE)

please get your blood pressure/vitamin levels checked too apart from your water intake. this happend with me too few years back and for me it was a combination of low blood pressure and vitamin deficiencies. hope you feel better soon.

It’s funny cuz I just got blood work done. My kidneys, liver and blood work were great save that I’m anemic. I was with my bf at the time when I felt dizzy and sat down on the floor board (he has a lifted Jeep). Next thing I know I’m on underneath the damn thing. Both doors were open cuz we were leaving an appt for my nephew. They saw me at ER. Did a CT and more blood work. Only thing they found was my h/h was lower than it had been the week before. They chalked it up to stress. 😒 My doc wants me to just rest and rest and rest!

Thanks so much for the suggestions guys. I’m trying to do everything mentioned. Is it normal to feel out of it ? Anyone know how long it takes to feel somewhat normal? Been day 5 now.

g_, I think that's a question for your doctor; but I'm pretty sure it varies. A lot.
