Snowwhite100's Journal, 18 Mar 19

Well I must confess I wasn't perfect Sunday at the spaghetti dinner for the fund raiser at Saint Joseph's Table at the big Italian church downtown. When I said it was a big deal, it helped that Miraculum explained it. I did ask how many people go to it in the 3 days. I learned they use 3,500 to 4,000 pounds of pasta, and 300 gallons of sauce, in the 3 days noon to 8pm.

I did take and eat a hard boiled egg and a small round of Laughing Cow cheese from home but that was all I took at the last minute, no salad. As planned I ate a meatball, and 1/2 of a sausage, and was pleased that neither I, nor anyone else in our party had wine (it was lunch). I also ate a half portion of pasta and one small pastry (warm) with custard in it. Not terrible, but half success and half failure.

I decided to not have any dinner, and there were lots of leftovers, but my son in law wanted to go out for Chinese food. To be gracious I needed to cheerfully go along. Of course it was up to me what I ate, but when sitting with others eating it's pretty hard not to. I ate.
