Day 4 of a planned 11 day 'no solid food fast'
Blood sugar 83 mg/dL
👶🏾 I was hoping for a loss today. However, I have still lost 3 pounds in 3 days.
Do I plan to change anything? No, of course not.
🌟 I had been obese all my adult life. I tried to lose weight for decades. I felt like a failure for decades. After reading: "The Obesity Code: Unlocking the Secrets of Weight Loss" (https://amzn.to/2sAbluO) I stopped trying the 'eat less move more' conventional wisdom and found a diet I can stick to.
I started 'fasting' periodically on 3/25/2018 and that has been the diet plan I have stuck with.
🌎 Mostly I realize that many (NOT all!) people that will offer you 'advice' don't care about you. They are motivated by protecting their own 'Ego' (defined as a person's 'sense' of themselves in the world). If they believe that what they are doing is 'correct', it becomes important, to bolster their 'Ego' that everyone around them do the same.
🧘🏾♂️ This is why I try (and fail many times) to ONLY offer my 'experince'. Yes, I would love for all long-time 'diet failures' like myself to 'fast', get big results, and validate 'my' view of the world. But, if they can't do it, and feel like a 'failure', how am I helping them? I'm not.
👍🏾 Anyway, yesterday I stuck to my plan (8 net carbs, period. Nothing else matters for me), felt great thoughout the entire day (electrolyte supplements!) hit the gym (still able to do all my lifts from my 'bulking period'), and will now go on a 5 mile run before work.
Most importantly, when my co-worker brought 🍰 lemon cakes to the morning meeting yesterday, I smiled at her, politely declined, and told her I was on day 3 of an 11 day 'no solid food' fast. I did not even have a 'nibble'.
Have a great day everyone!
