My doctor once told me to stop drinking at around 6 in the evening to avoid being woken by my bladder. She said to suck an ice cube if my throat or mouth got dry after 6 and that, after an adjustment period, I should be drinking enough before 6 that I wouldn't get thirsty. I didn't stick with it simply because it turned out my bladder was being a bother because of an infection but maybe worth thinking about?

Attending psyiotherapy at the hospital for the same problem Minitata! Advice given was to drink no more than two litres each day, cut out caffeine, fizzy water and lemon and ginger tea and don't drink anything three hours before you settle down to sleep. It seems to be working but missing my lemon and ginger tea! Now reduced to one a night pee and managing seven hours full sleep some nights. Also doing pelvic floor exercises every day while standing!

Apparently lemon and ginger tea can irritate the bladder, plus I have it with lemon slices! Have been limited to one a day and it has helped!
