Popcorn with grated parmesan cheese for a quick snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Pop popcorn (usually 1/2 cup unpopped will yield approximately 20 cups of popped corn).
- Melt butter either in microwave or on stovetop.
- Drizzle approximately 1/3 of the melted butter over popped corn.
- Sprinkle approximately 1/3 of the parmesan cheese over popped corn.
- Sprinkle approximately 1/3 of the salt over popped corn.
- Stir corn to distribute butter, cheese and salt.
- Repeat steps 3-6 until all ingredients are added and distributed. Enjoy!
- Note: one serving equals approximately 5 cups popped corn.

Carbs are way too high

What I love about this recipe is that you can sub out the butter, spray with Omega 3 canola (Smart Balance) cut back on the parmesan and you have a great, low calorie, high fiber snack that offers more volume. Great idea, thanks.

I cook the popcorn in a tiny bit of canola oil and then sprinkle the parm while it is still warm - no butter or salt. This gets me through those salty/crunch cravings.

Been eating popcorn this way since I was a little dude. Eat in moderation, reduce butter if you want! Will reduce points that way.
