Woohoo.. reboot day has arrived. !
55 days to go
20.6 lbs to go
30.4% fat
46.8% water
32.2% muscle
BMI 27

So, the plan is that the %fat will go down and % muscle will go up

So glad to be sharing this reboot with

I know there are challenges on the fs site, but I rarely get to use the laptop so can't really access them, so we have our own mini challenge... soo excited to do this together😁😁😁😁😁

I admit I drank rose last nite, for the first time in months, just poured the rest of the bottle down the sink. #determined

Went onto 2 sites to recalculate my macros..
Looks like I should be aiming for

25g carbs
81-107 g fat
70 -72 G protein
Cals 1119-1358?

So that's as clear as mud then??

Hmm, any ideas anyone'? Serves me right for going on a couple of sites

So I think I'll aim for about 70g protein, stay under 25g carbs and see how I go with the calories????

Have a successful Sunday fs friends 😁🤗🤗

It's great to be a part of it too. Thanks for dragging me along 😂 Your macros sound pretty much OK to me - a bit less than a gram of protein per kg of body weight, less than 25g carbs and the rest as fat. It ties in with a lot I've read anyway. I'm just about to post my start which isn't pretty but considering I've been away eating and drinking with gay abandon, I'll take it!

Good luck with the reboot, Poppy. As you've found out, the more sites you go on the more different results you'll get. I made myself some spread sheets two years ago and I average out all my macros for the week, the month, and the year. I keep tweaking mine depending on the results I get and what I think might work. At the moment I'm aiming for an average of 70g fat, 75g carbs (60g net carbs), 52g protein, 1090 calories, but everyone is different and you have to learn what works or what doesn't for you.

I've always been happy to stay within a range, and to average over a week. The difficult thing is to meet a set weight goal in a set time! And it can make you feel disappointed that you haven't, for example, that you have only lost 5lbs when your goal was to lose 10lbs - whereas you should be celebrating! Ask yourself: what happens when you reach your goal? Can you stop 'dieting', and go back to your old ways? Cos actually the answer is no, you still have to work at your diet and exercise to maintain your lower weight. So in that case, there is no end date to this. It is just more of the same.... So there's no need to hurry it. Just get there in a way that is sustainable, at a rate that is comfortable for you.

Poppy, I've set up a private challenge for those of us who are rebooting. Invitation in your inbox. @everyone - please don't be disgruntled if you've not been invited, I wanted to keep it small. If you're determined to restart tomorrow and spend 7 weeks on this, inbox me and I'll add you 👍🏻

I support anyone making the effort to reboot! I am doing the same thing. We can do this!

Maybe more fat? I'm finding that increased total intake as fat doesn't slow loss of body fat. My TDI is for maintaining weight but body fat is decreasing; my backside has re-arranged itself. YMMV.

Also, 100% what heidij said.
