67 days to go
17.8 lbs to go
68.8g carbs
882 Cals

A bit disappointed with weight gain, but although I did a bit of walking, we did drive over 700 miles yesterday ( we shared the driving).. drove through the Yorkshire dales, to the Lake District, into Scotland ( just!) and back home in one day 😁😁

Great day.. for those of you who know the lakes, we went to Honister pass and recreated photos laying on the massive boulders that I last took 18 yrs ago, but this time I have 2 teenagers.. gonna dig out the old ones today to compare! Lots of fun! ( will share them here)

WOE I struggled, but didn't do too bad.
After 2 hours driving, I had a M&S protein pot.. 2 boiled eggs and only a tea from McDonald's.
Next stop I bought mini chorizo.. totally disgusting. Had to throw them away.. had a packet of 16g carb crisps from garage. Bought sugar free polos to decrease my nausea from the car sickness/ disgusting chorizo taste in my mouth. Only ate 3 as they were
33gCARBS PER TUBE !!!😱😱😱😱😱
That was a lesson in label reading!!
So I ate 2 biscuits from a packet of 14 and fell a bit better!

We went to a tea shop and I avoided cakes and sandwiches.yay!

Then on the way back we got stuck in several massive traffic jams.i planned to have fish and remove the batter, or bunless burger, but the queues were MASSIVE . So I settled for a sandwich and another bottle of water.
When I got home, had 30g salami while everyone else had more sandwiches.. so not too bad an end result.. but those sugar free polos😮😮😮😮
All in all a great day looking at the wonders of nature and sharing it with the girls 😁😁
Off to gp today for advise on my hip, so I can try to get more active 😁😁😁

Have a happy and successful Tuesday fs friends 😎😎

How you managed to journey to Scotland and back in one day, I just don't know. I wouldn't even be able to sit for that long - my joints would seize up, but I'm glad you had a lovely time and enjoyed the scenery. The carbohydrates in sugar free polo mints are polyols, which are indigestible in the body therefore although it says 4.3g carbs for three polos, these can be subtracted giving 0 net carbs.

Sorry Doobs .. commented yesterday but it didn't upload! Driving doesn't bother me at all. However, I was really stiff and looking forward to s hot bath.. shame we came back to no hot water and heating. The plumber ordered A valve and is coming back this afternoon to fix the boiler ! Yay Also, I knew I had gp at 9 am yesterday, so would probably have steroid injections to ease my pain 😋 Thanks for the info on the polos. I was horrified!! Next time I'll be able to eat them instead of the biscuits, although to be honest I don't normally eat artificial sweeteners due to the insulin response. But good to know for next time I eat something disgusting if I'm travelling 😉 Looking forward to a nice hot bath 😁

The sweetener, sorbitol, is supposed to have a minimal effect on insulin response, so I think you'd be safe with that. Don't eat too many though as a lot will have a laxative effect 🙂

PS sorry about your hot water. Bet you can't wait to jump in the bath!

Thanks Doobs.. boiler fixed and hot water on😁😁 And good job then I only ate a few sf polos, the laxative effect would not have been great with 500 more miles to travel !!😂😂
