68 days to go
16.2 lbs to go
45.6 g carbs 😱
1056 Cals
32.8% body fat

As adpully said, it was pretty Amazing to manage my whole 20g carb allowance by 5am yesterday 😊😊

So I didn't do too badly for the rest of the day😉

Started today better..
Up at 4am to drive to the dales
Stopped at services and had an egg and spinach protein pot from M&S and only a tea from McDonald's. Yay!
Didn't fancy the spinach,. Dunno what other carbs will present themselves today, but at least my crazy hunger appears to have gone.. I think 2 hrs driving before eating helped😉

Went on the ketogains website .. apparently I need 1200 Cals and about 90g protein and fat. Does that seem a lot to anyway else?
Have a great day fs friends. Hope my uk friends enjoy the BH sunshine and those of you who are travelling have a safe journey 😎😎

Congrats on the loss. Have safe journeys today. I had a look at the ketogains calculator. 90g protein and fat does seem a lot, but you can adjust the macros down by adjusting the protein ratio figure. It suggested to not adjust it below 0.69 or you may lose muscle. Mine still came out to 71g protein which I would have problems eating, so I adjusted my net carbs to 60g a day. Then it came out at 61g protein and 60g fat. Interesting to play around with the figures though 🙂

I'd have thought that 90 grams of protein was a lot, but 1200 calories isn't - 90 grams of protein = 360 calories, 90 grams of fat = 900 calories = 1260 calories before you add on the carbs. I'd agree with Doobrie about the protein.

Calories seem a little low, 1500, protein good, as for fat, I try to use my own fat stores on my body, instead of adding more fat, God knows that I do have a lot extra of fat to use up !!!!

This is only my experience....when I lost the majority of my weight I did it by eating little protein and lots of fat but keeping calories low enough. I lost a lot of lean muscle leaving me with a high BF%. I LOOKED so much better but had so much fat still on me (skinny fat). After switching over to the kg calculations I got to goal weight and have lost body fat and gotten smaller overall. So, I guess what I'm saying is a lot of it depends on YOUR goals. Mine was to get rid of body fat, not to just see a smaller number on the scale...

Calories seem low. Is ketodietbuddy same as ketodietapp? The latter bases protein on desired lean body mass. (Their suggested protein level feels a bit low for me, as I'm hoping to *increase* lean mass. And I'm not yet adapted to amount of fat so often feel queasy.) What's certain is I have 50% higher calorie requirements on keto than I did on general LC, and even more so than when eating everything. Paulanavarette has very good medical explanation of why too-low calories counterproductive.

Keep the protein figure higher but not over 30g per meal. And realize that any fat you eat is fat that is not being converted and burned off your body. You want to eat enough of it to satisfy yourself so you aren't hungry for carbs, but you also want to continue to burn it. For your size and being pretty much what they consider sedentary (you have to do HUGE amounts of exercise to not be) somewhere around 1200 sounds about right. I eat 1300 and am 5'7" and 182 lbs. My protein is between 45-120g day depending on the day. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thsiun.. by my birthday I'm aiming for 150lbs.. total loss 50 lbs, 25% body weight 25.5 % body fat ( used to be 51% fat, so 50% reduction in total body fat Each day I eat 25g carbs or less, I put £1 in a jar towards clothes for my birthday So I'm counting down to that
