71 days to go
17.8 lbs to go
30.8 % body fat
Too much carbs!!!

My daughter got an A grade in her hobby, Japanese GCSE. She had a terrible exam and was convinced she'd failed.🎉🎉

We got back from school and OH had done a cooked breakfast as a surprise (!?) my daughter was so excited ( he never cooks)
Stayed on plan except for 1/4 slice of toast

We went out to buy some flowers, stopped for a cuppa. I joined her in having a slice of mixed berry crumble. Yum!

Then I came home to slow cooker beef stew.. spent ages trying to log " Tesco finest slow cooked beef" which I've logged before, but fs couldn't find it and kept timing out. Tried again this morning but the app still keeps timing out and can't find the beef grrrr😖

I got really annoyed and had a cuppa and 3 choc digestives.

So I have no totals for yesterday, but it was my highest day in carbs for a long time. Definitely no pound coin for the jar yesterday.
Really struggling with hunger.
Nothing seems to be working..
My carb addiction is never faraway 🤔
But getting back on it today😁

Have a happy and successful day fs friends 😎😎

Have you ever tried sugar free protein shakes, Poppy? They can be a good way of satisfying your hunger and because they're sweet they satisfy sweet cravings too. They are not something I'd recommend as a permanent additiion as they are highly processed but you can get more natural ones in powdered form flavoured with stevia from the internet. I'm struggling at the moment too - not with hunger - just being a piggy and fancying "something nice"!

Ooh that's a thought Doobrie. Nope, I've never tried anything like that. TBH I'm more a savoury sort of girl.. I know there are multipacks of walkers crisps in the cupboard .. but I make sure there's no smoky bacon flavour. Or kettle chips. I've had to throw away the krackerwheat this morning 😢... or I knew I'd eat them all. Craving crunchy and salty of the moment, so I've got pork belly slices out of the freezer

.. I promised the girls we'd go out to lunch today, as they've cleared out their wardrobes for the charity shop.. was agreed a few days ago, but with my current hunger seems like a dangerous move 🤔😉

If you are craving crunchy and salty, a good idea is parmesan crisps (you can use any hard cheese). The simplest way to make them is drop a tablespoon of grated cheese into a heated dry non-stick frying pan (you can do several at once), cook for a minute or two then turn them over for another minute or two, depending on how you like them. Just turn them out and leave to cool. You can also bake them on parchment paper in the oven for 5-10 minutes. Good luck with the lunch out today. Just try to avoid the carbs. As a non-vegetarian you should have lots of choice, unlike me when I go out for meals 😊

Up 7.4 lbs in 8 days .. gotta get a grip 😡

It will be mostly water due to the refined carbohydrates. You, like me, have the tools to lose it again.....and we will.

Poppycom, I have the same struggles, Sometimes I just bite the bullet !!!! And go on !!!

I finish some meals with chicken broth, ginger, and onion powder. Tastes a lot like egg drop soup and the ginger helps cut appetite.

The struggle is real Poppy. If I didn't have these same addictions, I would have been where I needed to be weight wise a long time back. As Gary mentioned, bite the bullet and move on. @Rrockett, didn't know ginger cuts appetite. I work next to Chinatown and can fresh ginger in 5 minutes. THANKS!!!!

I wonder if the carb addiction ever goes away. Lol

Don't give up.

It seems the carb addiction never goes away but we do manage to live with it differently. Did you try L-Glutamine and chromium picolinate for those cravings? It really helps! You are doing great so you need to stick to it!

I found out I'm prediabetic, so I switched to all whole wheat (bread & pasta) and brown rice instead of white. Being a little more selective with sweets. Ramped up exercise and have lost 5-6 lbs. in 8 weeks.

Good luck Poppy! 🙋🏻I'm struggling right now too! The carbs seem to be the only thing my reformed abdomen will take in nicely. That or protein. So being hungry I fill up on junk, not good veggies! My stomach just doesn't want to process it now and wants crap!🤦🏻‍♀️

Hang in there, Poppy. Those darn baby birds are just insistent! SMP listen to your body. Well, not the "junk" but the good foods that your system can handle.
