mskestrela's Journal, 03 Feb 17

I'm seeing value in the little break I took. I had completely lost my appetite for a while, and was finding it hard to even get over 500-600 Kcal/a day. Adding back some grains stimulated the appetite. My goal is now to have at least 1000/day, as I see that less than that actually stalls the weight loss.
My hair is finally coming back in, too. It was disconcerting, especially as a hairdresser! Now I have so many different lengths, but at least it's filling back in. I had a coworker cut the back to the length of the shortest hairs, as there was a patch right in the middle that had all fallen out, so now it's all about an inch long. It's fun, though, because I just blow it straight up so it's spiky.
Have a great Friday, buddies. It's a good day to do good things!

It is indeed a good day to do good things, Kes. Let's hope the weekend follows the same pattern. Love the notion of spiky hair! I've always wanted blue hair. Could have got away with it when I was younger and lived in a city. Now that I'm in a tiny rural village full of elderly folk, I don't think it would go down well! Take care and have fun.

Nice loss.

@Snoop Puss, I say, go for it! Most of the clientele at my salon live in a retirement community, but we still do a lot of fun colors for them.

Good loss, Kes. My hair had grown very long while I was convalescing and looking very straggly. I've cut my own hair for years but it's getting more difficult now I'm older. However, I looked on good old YouTube on how to cut your own hair and I've now got a rather nice bob! It was an unusual method. You pull everything back as though you're making a low ponytail then put it in a long freezer bag clip. You cut the hair close to the clip, release and voila - you have a bob that's shorter at the back and tapering down to the front. Took me about two minutes and a few minutes more to trim some little loose ends 😊

Welcome Back, Sometimes taking a break does help... Great Job on the hair repair!!!, A couple years back I had perm the back of my hair, messed up, had to cut most of it out, did the clip on attachments for a year until my hair grew back, LOL, I lucked out and got attachments from Amazon and this hair place in Tampa, Normally my hair shade (#27 mixed) it would have been $1000 for a set, but I manage to get the attachments for $200, and had to buy them 4x...LOL, I will never do that again.

Sounds like you are giving your body what it needs in regards to the hair returning. It's good you are listening to your body.
