Still going in the right direction.

Made meatballs and tomato sauce last night. Weighed all the ingredients and spent 20 mins trying to input the recipes , but it either kept saying error, or just going back to first page of recipe menu and losing all my data, so I worked out the individual ingredients in my portion and added them all in. Shame , as I eat these quite a lot, so it would be handy to have them in the database

So today, I'll make sure I eat something much more simple for dinner, but thanks for the advice.. maybe I'll stick to Doobrie's advice and find something similar next time.

Have a good day buddies x

That's strange, I use the cookbook a lot and haven't had any problems. Do you use the app, the mobile site or the desktop site? I use desktop which could possibly be the difference. Nice wee drop though :)

Have you tried saving you recipe as a favorite meal? You can use a favorite meal to add the meatballs to say lunch or dinner and then you can add something else to the same meal (say a salad or a side dish)

Thanks.. I normally use an iPhone, I can get the kids to try it on the laptop or sufacepro ( I don't have voice activated software on my home laptop so can't use it) How do u add into favourite recipes, as I am a bit of a creature of habit ( many of them naughty, unfortunately for my waistline) x😁

I've had a look on the android app that I have on my phone and can't see anything. No idea if the iPhone app is different so I can't help, I'm afraid. Sorry Poppy

Hi Poppy - here's how you add recipes to the iPhone: click on the + button for adding something to dinner. Scroll through the options at the top - they start with Quick Pick, Search, Recently Eaten, Most Eaten, Saved Meals then Cook Book. Once you've got to Cook Book you should see a button at the bottom saying New Recipe. I've added lots of recipes so I have to scroll quite a long way down. Then you start building your recipe by giving it a name then press the save icon at the top (looks a bit like this 📰, then do the same with description, number of servings, prep time and cook time (I find that a bit of a bore so I just put everything in as 30 mins prep and 30 mins cook). Then press Save. Then you have to choose a meal type such as Main Dishes then press 📰 to save again, then go through adding your ingredients remembering to keep pressing that icon after each one. When you've added all your ingredients, click on Add Direction - if you don't want to type out the whole method just do what I do and type "cook". Just ignore Photos - you don't need to add one. Don't hit the share button either as this is just for you. Now click on the Save box at the bottom and that recipe will be permanently stored in your Cook Book!
