So I essentially stayed the same.. had a cheeky baileys for New Years, then put the bottle away.. in previous years I would have easily drunk the whole bottle. But had no wine with dinner, or port after dinner, just my one baileys with Christmas tree shaped ice cubes.

Reading this, sounds like I'm a big drinker lol. But until this year, I was a newsagent for 14 years and only had xmas day, boxing day and New Year's Day off. Shows me how entrenched my eating/ drinking habits are. Previously , I'd have called them traditions, now I'm learning to call them GREED .

Have a happy, successful day buddies xx

LOL! I like the part when you called your "traditions" greed. If you think about it it is nothing more than that. A loss is a loss my dear......it's getting you closer to your goal no matter how big or small.

Lol no scotch bottle in the bottom drawer of news desk? I can relate to working long weeks. Congrats on your moderation. Funny about your shaped ice cubes. ;-)

You've a nice downward trend going there, Poppy. You've just reminded me I have baileys in the cupboard too and haven't had any over Xmas. Too late now as I'm off alcohol until we go to Soton for the stepson's birthday.
