Sometimes I don't know what to do for best. Calorie counting does work for a while but it gets tedious. Yeah, calorie counting is about restriction and nobody likes that anyway. I think it also brings a guilt aspect in, which is negative for something that should be positive. If I have a bit of cake, a few beers, a pizza whatever, I'll feel guilty. I know I shouldn't, but I will anyway. Yeah you can have these things once in a while, it'd be crazy not to but the more I think about not having them the more I want them, obviously! I'm only human.

I've been getting into better patterns. As well as I can anyway. I work five days out of seven on shifts of either early 7:30-15:00 or late 14:00-21:30, it changes every week. Usually get more late shifts than early shifts and I prefer it that way, I prefer to go to the gym before work rather than after work. I just feel like I'm living mainly off snacks though. When I take my stuff in to work, when I've been putting it into the calorie counter it looks like quite a long list but it's all healthy-ish stuff. Reasonably.

I genuinely do struggle to see how I managed to get back into the state I was again. I must've had absolutely no regard for how I was eating. I don't feel like I'm struggling as such, would like quicker progress but it is what it is. I'm not binging, I'm going to the gym semi-frequently, I'm walking more. I always go for the sugar free option, semi-skimmed, reduced fat cheese now and can hardly tell the difference. I only feel like I'm making subtle changes, whether they last or not is another thing. I've done it before, I can do it again...
