The only surprise here is that it isn't more! But I think this is a good example of how exercise helps weight management. Without exercise this gain would have been much higher! As it is, my weight increase has been contained to a manageable amount. BTW this is a fat gain, not muscle. I can see the fat!!

Anne, you’ve done amazingly to only put on 0.8 kilos, of course I understand you’ve lost muscle, but it’s certainly no biggie , that will fall back off of you in no time, and replacing the muscle back to how you was is the fun part of looking at yourself in the mirror 💪🏻

Ah, Jamie. You must be terribly frustrated at not being able to exercise! To be honest, I haven't lost muscle, just covered it up with a thin layer of insulation!! I hope it will re-emerge soooooon.

Yes Anne, super frustrated, as I hurt my knee a few weeks before I started hospital life, so haven’t ran since the middle of January and only been to the gym twice since then as well ☹️

You are being very measured about it all. I am sure I would be on here ranting and raving if it were me. The longest I went without exercise was after an ankle operation when I was 21...........about 3 months.

Well that’s an amazing stat just there! That you only have had 3 months off from exercise since you was 21! Truly amazing Anne! And of course it’s frustrating for me, but like I’ve said in a previous post, I look around here and see some really sick people, who’d love to be in my position, so I have things to be thankful for really, it can always be worse, and I’ll be back once I get the all clear 🤣 👍🏻🤞🏻👏🏻💪🏻

It just seems normal to me, Jamie. What else would I do with myself!! Your fitness will come back, nice and steady when the body is ready.
