I'm impressed with the bread I made yesterday. It didn't rise as much as I expected, but the flavor and texture are awesome. Much better than the ThinSlim bread I've bought. @Tberzan, I got the recipe here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPTcf4Ol0cY
I did enter the ingredients in my cookbook, but it won't be added to the community book, because I didn't write the instructions. The macros come out excellent, though! One slice (1/12 of the loaf) comes to Fat: 5.5g; Fiber: 10g; Net carbs:.75g and Protein: 6.69g with 95 total calories.

I didn't get around to making the pasta, so that's my plan for today. I'm trying to decide if I want to make fettuccine with my pasta machine, or spaghetti with my extruder.

Hi Kes - speaking of Pasta, I just tried NuPasta. It comes in Angel Hair, Spaghetti and Fettucine. It is an upgraded version of Shitake noodles. No smell, but you still rinse it. The texture is pretty good, a little soft though. You don't have to cook it, just heat it in your sauce. 25 calories, 6g carb and 1g protein and the serving size was more than I wanted.

So, the pasta recipe was an abject failure. I'm not sure why, but in the comments, apparently, the kind of glucomannan you use is important, so maybe that's it. When I added the water, I first used 1/3 of what was called for, and it looked like enough. But, since it was the first time I was making it, I went ahead and added it all. I ended up with a sticky, gelatinous mess that left a slimy residue on everything it touched, even after letting it rest for the recommended 10 minutes. I dropped a hunk of it in boiling water, just to see what would happen, and it basically fell apart into a gloopy mess. I may try again with some changes.

Thank you for the links to your YouTube videos. I am going to have to try some new recipes. I have given up gluten so I'll need to look for another recipe.
