I am sure most Americans really under-utilize soup. Koreans base many meals around healthy soup and since big businesses don't make a lot of money on it, we forget it as an excellent food choice. I added boullion to a pot of water, added firm tofu, some Braggs amino acids and before I eat it, I add lots of raw spinach (probably perfect for a soup fast). I ate Red Mill Low Carb Pancakes the last 2 days and didn't gain anything so maybe the soup is offsetting the pancakes. Knowing me, I'll burn out on soup quick but sure works for now. I wonder how much I can lose on a 3 day tofu spinach soup diet...Hmmmm...
Note: I live in South Florida where it's either hot or hotter so soup isn't a big draw here.

Oh... Korean food is so good! Soup and chili, aka Soon dobu it's so low carb friendly! Thanks for that Korean food idea, sounds good for the Mother's Day dinner!

Soup is BIG in Scotland. Nothing to beat a pot of home-made Lentil Broth, especially made with real Ham.

Thanks for the comments! Good point stilluv, they should be added after as a condiment, not while cooking. Thanks. Lots of soup ideas too at: http://bragg.com/blog/index.php/all-natural-organic-whole-live-foods/tag/vegan-soup/

They say in Asia that a hot soup ends up cooling you down in the long run from sweat...

Also, watch your sodium vs. water intake. Bouillon tends to be quite high sodium, without adding any protein. Especially in FLorida hot weather when you perspire a lot, you want to be sure you aren't retaining too much water or dehydrating accidentally.

Great point hermionesmom...I think I substituted salt for sugar. My go to snack is a pickle. (Thank God I don't have issues with sodium)
