I made scallops with cauliflower puree the other day when mt son came for dinner. I just put a little bit of milk in the cauliflower and blitzed it up but not too smoothly. My son reckoned it tasted a bit like cauliflower cheese. I liked it. Good subsitute for mash. How are you Yas? x

That sounds good! I was wondering if it would be too watery. I wanted something to go with stroganoff, but I made roast courgette instead. I'm good! Work is kicking my arse a bit 🙄

Me and you both 😊 I'm stocktaking across two countries. Working late in the night, into the next day. Way too much travel. Also buggars up my eating. We stop at service stations a lot too! So plenty of junk and McDonald's to tempt. Gah

Aah. I remember now. Service station food is awful, isn't it? What 2 countries are you working in?

Gilly, it's actually not so bad cause it's all junk 🤣 I'm all around Wales and England. Tomorrow I'm in somewhere called Totnes 🤣

Eliza, I tried it, but wasn't keen. It seemed overly pungent.

Yas, you'll be able to get a nice cream tea in Totnes at least! lol

I love Totnes! You'll be able to eat anything you want there. Great choice. Not cheap. Quite posh! Great health food store too called green life if you like that kind of thing. & a walk along the river is lovely.

Mashed is lovely with toasted cumin seeds OR just roast the florets which are gorgeous.

agree with the people about it having a tendency to go watery - but if you can avoid that it is delicious blitzed with nutmeg

I mash mine, add pepper and salt to taste, put it back into pot, add butter and put it back on heat, stirring continuously, till water is gone, it is lovely
