Yesterday turned into a fast day for me. After the soul-filling food the night before, I just wasn't hungry all day. Tummy started rumbling around 7 pm, so I had a couple of hot dogs. Speaking of dogs, I'm dog-sitting the neighbors' 3 this weekend. An odd pack, of a female Rottweiler, and male black Lab and Dachshund. They love it when Auntie Kes babysits, because I always clean out my fridge of leftovers to mix in with their kibble. I feel sorry for them. None has any training, and spend the majority of their days in the back yard with little interaction with their owners. Bella, the Rottie is very smart, and very bored. As a result, she spends hours running in little circles, barking at the ground. So much so that there are several 'crop circles' where she has worn ruts into the ground. She needs a job! She so wants to please. When I go over there, I try to teach her some basic manners, but it only happens if the other 2 are outside, She's very jealous of any attention given to the others. Sad. I'll be taking care of them next weekend, too. The owners are aficionados of 'mudbugging', and have ATVs. There are several ATV parks in the region, so they go and spend a couple of weekends a month playing in the mud. LOL I didn't get anything done yesterday, so today is a puttering-around-the-house day. Today I'm thankful for all the critters in the world, from my cats, to the neighbors' dogs, to the birds and squirrels who entertain me outside the window. Have a good Sunday, buddies!
