Welp. I guess sushi did me in again. Not even down and dirty junk food, just some rice, seaweed and fish. Go figure.
For the first time since I started this, I'm almost ready to chuck the discipline and give it up. 3 weeks to drop 5 lbs, and 5 days to put them back on after one carby meal? Really? And that's getting right back on plan after the one meal. WTF?

Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate all your comments, encouragement and suggestions. More than you'll ever know. I've regained my balance today, partly because of your support and partly because I was able to get back my spiritual side. I've been focusing WAY too much on the physical of late. I will keep on keeping on, tinker and tweak, and hope to help you all the way you've helped me.

Kes. I am not disagreeing with your argument about what people need to eat to gain weight, but 1 lb of Fat contains/requires 3500 Kcal. To gain 1lb OF FAT you need to consume 3500 extra, whether you are an elephant or a cat. You can do this at 10 calories extra per day, over the course of a year, or all at one sitting, but it needs calories to build Fat. On the other hand, to gain weight so much else comes into play. Fluid, tissue, muscle and bone must also be taken into the equation for weight gain.
