Life stresses. Relationship stresses. I'm feeling a bit down. I guess it didn't help the other day when I saw my father (after many months) said I am fat.

"Geez, thanks. I know that. That's why I asked for you to pop by later than we planned earlier. I had to get my exercise done ... after I got my 2 year old fed, dressed and occupied enough with something to give me the 30 minutes I needed to get it done. I am not happy looking this way. I'm not happy that I feel unfit."

I have been doing my exercise programme for 3 weeks now. Only missed one day but made up for it by doubling up. I just about get through it. I modify most of the exercises. But I do it. I am trying. And I must persevere.

I also probably need to not bother calling my Dad and others in my family for the time being. I used to be quite fit and active. Now my body is in need of serious rehab. Knee surgeries, car accidents and lack of movement, as a result, have taken their toll. My left side is weaker than right. My knees scream with every squat and every lunge. I used to have pretty good leg strength, probably from all the rollerblading I used to have the luxury to do. Don't ask me about push (press) ups. I've never really been able to do those properly. I am trying to keep the faith. It just gets so very hard sometimes.

Morning, so sorry about what you've been through and are still going through. I kept a letter from my parents for years which clearly told me that they have a rule to treat everyone the same and I am no more important to them than anyone else. Bit odd being the only daughter to hear that and very painful. Then a very good friend of mine asked if I got any good feelings from the letter. When I said no they said to get rid of it. I did... it was like pouring poison down a drain. I was just talking to my husband about your journal and profile entry. I used to work abroad and when I was arranging to meet up with my parents my mum would always ask what size I was??? Looking back, I think that made a difference to whether she would meet me in public or not. It hurts when and it's difficult to rise above but you must. I had a read of your profile. You are so committed to your weight loss and exercise plan it's amazing. I just don't know how you do it. You are setting such a wonderful example to your little girl too. I don't think weight loss is the main thing anyway. I think it's about feeling better generally, not being the best but being the best you can be. You're doing so well but please be kind to yourself and enjoy every moment with your lovely daughter too. I imagine you are her absolute world. She must adore you.
