Thanks for the support everyone. Mintybonbon, you may have a point there - only time will tell.

Ebivr, I can't be sure about the sodium but not as far as I'm aware.

My weight fluctuates by about 2-3 Kilos's every day depending on when I eat, drink water, go to the gym, etc etc. Don't be too disheartened. I usually weigh first thing in the morning every few days but if I have drank alot of water the night before I dont bother as I know it will be inaccurate by upto 2KG.

Thanks Pompski, I started Michael Moseley's 5:2 diet so I only keep a record of Mondays and Thursdays when I keep to a max of 600 calories. I'll start keeping a more detailed account again though.

Ah! the 5:2 diet. Your weight will most likely zigzag then. But should zigzag downwards. When do you usually weigh in?

I'd lost a couple of pounds again when I weighed in this morning so it must have been just a blip.

Weigh yourself just once a week! Then you will see the difference, early in the morning when you get up! I've been on the 5:2 diet (strategy) now for 8 weeks and have lost 10 kg (23 lbs). Keep going and you'll get there!!

Don't know how you guys can survive on 600 calories a day! I struggle to hold mine at 2700.
