WARNING...more shamless biker bragging... A few days ago (the 8th) I took a 2nd place on a very competitive,18.8km (11.7 mile) Strava segment over here in Kailua Kona. This came on the tail end of a long climbing ride totaling 111.5km and 1503m climbed. That was a lot of fun, I actually reached around and patted myself on the back...lol. I have been riding everyday since we got to Kailua Kona on the 4th. Longest ride so far was on the 6th where I rode the Ironman route from Kona up to Hawi and back, 183kms, 1352m climbed over 6 hours...that was a "drain the tank" kind of day for sure...lots of calories and glycogen burned that day!! Now I know that this kind of stuff isn't for everyone but I also want to mention that it was only a couple of years ago (fall, 2017) that I thought 20 miles was a LONG ride...now that 20 miles is like taking a short walk...

Amazing Steven. I still think 20 miles is a pretty long ride! That reminds me that my bike has been sitting by it's lonely self in my garage for too long, I need to take advantage of the fall weather and get on it. Seriously, you are an inspiration to me and I appreciate hearing of your accomplishments. Time to push myself harder physically than I have been doing.

Hey Jim, speaking of inspiration...when I first got on FS, you, Bill, Bruce, John and Helen were my inspirations, among a few others....especially through some of my longer plateaus. So, glad to return the favor mate!!
