18 days to go
15.6 lbs to go

Had my " back to work " interview yesterday, a week late. My boss didn't even ask how I am.
Proceded to tell me I have a major character flaw. I can't hide when I'm angry. I replied that I thought I was quite restrained, when I was in bed recovering from an op and she called to tell me he thought maybe I should be on half pay ., after we had both checked with payroll that I was entitled to full payAnd they've messed up my pay 7 months out of 12. So I told her I wasn't really awake, I was shocked and disgusted and woukdspeak to her later .

3 weeks later, despite 17 phone calls and emails to hr and 3 calls to oaroll, I still don't have an answer.

I am looking fir another job

Sorry fir the rant, but I feel much better niw😁😁😁

Have a great day FS friends 😉

you deserve better - are you registered disabled, green card and everything? It gives you some rights apparently

That's unfortunate about them messing with your pay. Just wrong! I'm not sure what the rules are where you live, but I know here in the states, most places require you to work there a year or so before there is any type of short term disability pay, and even then, you usually have to be off work for a week first before receiving any (which is normally based on length of tenure).

it is always good to have a change Poppy. Probably for the best. Not worth staying where you are not appreciated. Good Luck x

Make sure you have evidence of the calls/voicemails and my advice is communicate through email. If they are longing it and end up losing your job. U can sue them. Or if u not happy there leave. I did and much happier.

They are not supposed to contact you when you are signed off sick I would contact your union or citizens advice they are firmly in the wrong! I hope you get something else very soon your better than that place it sounds very uncaring 😉

They are so mean to you Poppy, and Carmelle is right in what she says. Hope you find something better soon.

Unfortunately that’s not the case Carmelle http://www.hse.gov.uk/sicknessabsence/step2.htm Of course it depends on how the contact is handled and it sounds as if Poppy’s manager isn’t good at staff relationships. I’d certainly be seeking more employment advice, Poppy and all the best if you decide to look for work elsewhere.

Thanks all My manager has only worked in the NHS for 4 years ..and been our boss fir 2 years. I have worked fir this trust since 1998. I have great relationships with many staff if all grades over the organisation. As an ex union rep, an equalities rep and a dignity and wellbeing advisor I know the policies and how they should work. If they're not applied correctly, I know who to speak to. And I do. And she probably knows now that I've had it in writing that all the issues with my pay have been due to her incompetence and mistakes. Her job is hell, there needs to be 4 or 5 of her .. but she chose it. Also, I have a specialist job that lots of people don't understand/ value, including her. And I honestly think she is sometimes threatened my what and who I know. I said my financial situation is my business, so I don't expect to explain this to her.. but I expect to go to work and get paid. Correctly. As agreed. As she would. So I went out with a very old friend yesterday. Had lots of belly laughs . Arranged fir more uni lecturing work, where I'm appreciated . And we will see what happens 😁😁thanks FS friends xx

I had to leave NHS a few months ago. They went back on their agreement of me not working Sundays. Having children and working in such an organisation doesn’t fit. (Maybe its just this branch )

Good for you. Takes courage to speak out when things aren't right. Better out than in.
