The meal was lovely
The company was great, really enjoyed the evening
Unfortunately, we booked a table for 7 and were given a table for 6 in the corner at the back. So by the time they squeezed an extra chair in, the waitress was miles away and I had to shout my order over everyone.. so no chance fir asking on advice on choices as I'd planned.
So I had teriyaki salmon, melted in my mouth. Avoided the sharing platters of starters and desserts. Didn't order rice/noodles.Had literally a spoonful of chicken rending and tofu with lemongrass which were lovely. Haven't counted them as didn't know how/what.

The other girls all had several (!?) cocktails, so I was glad I was driving. I had a mocktail ( passionfruit, orange juice and grenadine) , probably lots of sugar, but I don't know amounts so I can't accurately count it. Let's just say I went over, but then drank water as the girls ordered more drinks.

Oh, and before I went out, I left the kids and OH to dish up the dinner I'd cooked.. they left the gas hob on and put an oven glove on top. I dunno🤔. I go out for one night and they set the house on 🔥😉😉.liiterally 🤣

Disappointed with my weight gain today, but it was a brilliant nite😁😁

Have a fantastic Friday fs friends 😁😁

Sounds like a hectic challenge for ordering food. Glad you got through it so well, with so much well-deserved fun. Happy Weekend!

It's temporary Pops, by tomorrow most of it will be gone just be extra careful today. So pleased you enjoyed it even with the fire and the squeeze and being the only sober one there! Also pleased you enjoyed your first Japanese feast, I love it and it's so healthy.

Glad you had a good night and still had a home to go to after the fire - perhaps they thought you'd be cold!

So pleased you had such a lovely evening. The weight gain was worth it and you'll soon lose it again. Next time, tell your family to reheat in the microwave 🙂

Thanks all It was actually freezing mini.. the thing about going out in London is the long walk back to the parking space on uneven pavements in the dark.. it took a while😉 Doobs.. they didn't even have to heat it up.. just had to remove gravy and mash from stovetop, get toad-in-the-hole out of the oven and veg from the microwave.. it was still too difficult for them #spoilt family... So I waited till the smoke alarm stopped and said "bye". They had 🍕 later 🤣🤣🤣

I can sympathize with the house fire! My son has done that a few times just not thinking about things. LOL silicone oven mitts. Of course I only have 2 and they aren't as easy to grab or to leave off on the top of the stovetop carelessly, but I tried! 🤷🏻‍♀️
