Had A lovely day yesterday.. a great friend who. Hadn't seen fir over a year came to visit for the day and we had a lovely catch up 😁😁😁😁
Aiming for at least a 16:8 today to get me back in the groove
Hopefully, once I'm on a roll it will become easier, like it did before
I should have a follow up appointment with my pain consultant in 5 weeks.. would like to have visibly lost some more weight by then ( he hasn't seen me since April and was very keen for me to lose weight to help my joints)
Yesterday evening , my lovely cousin's wife , who is 40, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She's an active mum of 3 young boys, exercises regularly, ensures the whole family has a healthy lifestyle. Just back to her career as a marine biologist after moving to the states for 3 years for her husbands job.kids back in an Irish school, youngest started school, all fit and happy. My cousin is in the states training for his new job. She is is dublin with the boys. Went for investigations due the pain she's had for 3 MONTHS!😢
I've already lost 3 friends in their 40s to this silent killer.😥
Absolutely devastated for them.😭
If you feel unwell, please see your doctor, don't wait.
Many cancers are affected by excess weight. It's another kick up the backside for me..my daughters need me.
Enjoy the health you have, as we all continue on this journey to better health together.

Well done on the loss Poppy. So sad about your cousin's wife. Cancer is so horrid. One of the guy's from the reunion has it and, although he was cheerful, he doesn't look well at all. It started from a melanoma. One tends to think that it's a cancer that can just be cut out and that's it, but in reality it can spread to various parts of your body. In his case, it was his lymph nodes. Terrifying really. Glad you had a lovely day with your friend.

What awful news, Poppy. My thoughts are with them all. The problem with busy people is that it's never really convenient to take time out to see the Doctor - especially if they only work Mon-Fri 9-5 and you work a way away from home. I know I'm lucky being able to WFH to get to appointments. If you've kids to look after as well, it's even harder to fit it in.

The diagnosis was a shock.. they're such a healthy family.. she initially thought she'd strained something when they were hiking.. they take turns carrying their smallest fella on their back in a special carrier.
More tests to come
And things will seem brighter when her husband isn't in the other side of the world
We're a close family, so I really feel their pain

Your numbers are looking great! 🙋🏻Hope it goes well for your cousin's wife!🙏🏻My sister managed to get through Cervical just a few years back and in remission now, so we can hope for the same here!🙆🏻

I suppose I got very frightened because I have lost 3 friends to this disease..
When we were 35, elana went for an op to investigate her "Ibs" in Tuesday and passed away on Saturday leaving 2 kids.
Siobhan first got cancer when she was 32 and paseesd away when she was 41, leaving 3 kids
Alex went to the doctor in August, when she was 42.. her eldest daughter started school in September and she passed in October..
so the odds aren't great, if it isn't caught early..
But I'm staying away from dr google and we'll all do what we can
