Yesterday went well, apart from 3.5 hr drive down to Brighton.. phooka' s explanation about the football match explains it!

Went to lunch in Brighton . Had goats cheese salad and deconstructed it to guess the amounts of ingredients. Ate 6 pomegranate seeds and 3 little chunks of orange. Avoided the garlic bread and drank Diet Coke. I've discovered Diet Coke is no longer a treat for me and I couldn't finish it. Put a photo of lunch in my diary.. it apoeats to have posted to my feed.. now I understand why others post random pictures of food with no explanation.. it's probably not intentional ☺️🙂

We were going to go on the Blackpool 360, a vertical cable car, but the girls decided to go to an ice cream parlour instead. I didn't even have a taste! They had ice cream sundaes with chocolate brownies, marshmallows, cream and syrups.. genuinely didn't appeal to me, but it was fun watching them enjoy it.

Stopped at McDonald's at 9 pm on the way home and I had....
A pack of almonds!!

So, a much shorter 2 hour drive home with the sleeping teenagers rounded off their trip nicely.(thanks phooka, left before the football traffic, then stopped later on the way home as the traffic was good 😊)

Watching mo farah get a silver and poor Bplt pull up with cramp in his last ever race.. reminded me that we can only prep and do our best, the outcome is not always what we want, but we can't do More than our best!!

Bit of a profound thought for 7 am on a Sunday morning 😉
Off to the hairdressers today to get my hair done before the wedding ( a lot of my older relatives who aren't on fb or didn't see me last summer are probably expecting to see a brunette 😉😉

They may not recognise you. I agree with what Phooka said on a previous post. You have not failed. You have successfully lost 36 lbs! Accentuate the positive Poppy, be your own cheerleader. You are having so many little victories on a daily basis, don't diminish it. OK lecture over. Have a super Sunday. x

Just checked on laptop.. my lowest fs weight since Feb 14 was 162 on 15/9/14.. So I WILL smash this by 15/9/17 .. feeling bloody well motivated today 🤔😁😁

I'm extremely impressed with your food choices yesterday - what will power! I used to be a brunette too, then I was blonde for many years and now I'm 50 shades of grey! I can't colour my hair any more as I've become allergic to hair dyes. Have a wonderful day, Poppy!

Thanks Doobs.. think I was suffficiently annoyed to be VERY determined lol 😉 I was brunette/ red until the grey kept coming through and it was too expensive to do the semi permanent and the streaks lol. Tried all blonde and everyone loved it ( except OH) . So I kept it blonde for the last year! 😉

You are SO amazing! Think back to what you would have done in that MacDonald's just a few months ago! 🙆🏻YOU have the determination and will ti DO ANYTHING and BE anything you set your mind to and you are proving it. One hard day at a time!!🙋🏻I'm SO proud of you!

I love reading how we manage to hang on to our will power - sometimes kicking and screaming. it helps to keep us all on track - knowing that there are others out there facing the same dilemmas on a daily basis. you think to yourself "dammit, if they can manage it then so can I". well done you :-)

But you DID!🙆🏻and look at you NOW! Gosh! You bring tears to my eyes I'm so proud of your determination! You ate a pack of almonds! LOL at MacDonald! One of the worst places for a dieter to have to stop. (I'm sure we could make a list and rank them all! LOL) 🤦🏻‍♀️But that is pretty damned amazing right there!🙋🏻
