So we made it to Brighton
Weather was awful.. 95 miles each way in lashing rain.. took 3 hours to get there and 4.5 hrs to get back , let's just say my back and joints aren't great today 🤔

The girls treated me to " Gourmet Burger Kitchen " for lunch.. I highly recommend the "suns out buns out" option.. for 50p you have burger without a bun and have corn 🌽 or green salad instead. Yum

By the time we got home so late OH and younger daughter had McDonald's, I finished off emergency pack of almonds from the car and had 2 cups of tea with cream to bring my calories up. So fries and buns avoided twice in one day.

My daughter's holiday flat is lovely and the owner lives next door. And the weathers brightened up for them today.. they're thrilled and so am I 😁😁

So, a successful day all round.

That is a LOT of driving. Mixed in with bum&fries avoidance, sounds like competitive endurance obstacle course. Nice job! Hope joints recover soon.

Thanks all.. just got in as working a long day today and next Tuesday to make up for flexitime day yesterday. Looking forward to a long hot bath, still fasting from last night 😁
