30 days to go😱
DOWN 1 LB ( does a little dance)
12.1 lb to go
6g carbs
Yay!

So, yesterday didn't go quite to plan.

Broke my 23 hr fast with nuts. Both daughters were out and ate out, then just had snacks. OH had bought himself a vindaloo in a box.

I was gonna cook myself dinner, but simply wasn't hungry.. dunno if it was the ACV?
So I decided to start another fast at 5 pm.. by 9 am this morning it will be 16 hrs already. Was aiming for 1000 Cals yesterday but got nowhere near, but simply wasn't hungry. If I am hungry today I will eat, it I've grabbed the chance to mix it up a bit. ( but annoyed that I broke my fast with nuts, I'll have to PLAN a longer fast for next week, last night just happened due to circumstances and lack of hunger!😡😡)

Weirdly,at 10pm I had a craving for bakewell tart😋😋. So I went to bed.. too many times in the past I've crammed foods into my mouth on the way to bed .. NO MORE! 👍

Nonscale victory1 : I slept for 7.5 hrs straight.. haven't done that in years, normally woken by pain. Maybe the IF is helping with inflammation in my joints?
Nonscale victory 2 : I don't have to tuck my belly bulge into my pants.. very weird.. been unconsciously doing this for decades.... looking forward to the day I don't have to adjust to get comfy when I sit down ( if you do it, you'll understand) 😉

So, today's plan:
ACV
Fast until I need to break my fast
Nuts and water in the car already
Look at dresses online to keep my motivation up.. get my daughter to put a pretty one as a screensaver on my phone.
Physio exercises

The NSV must be more rewarding than anything else! Feeling better is such a big thing. Why are you disappointed to have broken your fast with nuts? Too many? Not varied enough food for the calories? Just wondering. Have a great day 🤗

Thanks Doobrie and phooka Phooka, if I'd have thought about it, I could have fasted straight thru until today fir a 2 day fast, instead of breaking my fast for only 6g carbs and 200 Cals. Just need to plan my eating a bit better

Nuts are one of the best things to break a fast with - lots of fat, mid protein and a few carbs. It sounds like you're listening to your body - the Bakewell tart was a hopeful reminder of how carbs up blood sugar quickly - they fade very quickly. Well done you.

Thanks all I suppose I'm just still learning about fasting. I see others doing long fasts but normally cook for everyone at home and would find the sight and smells of foods too hard. So I'm annoyed o missed my chance. Minitata.. I normally break my fast with cheese and nuts.. but I love cheese. Avoiding it is really hard.. although if that's what was stalling me at above 12 stone then I'll have to continue and that will motivate me. And yes, I didn't want bakewell tart when I woke up, but it was a massive craving last nite

Poppy, you are doing well. I've been playing around with fasting over the last 4 weeks and still tweaking it. Plan your work and work your plan!

I find that once I'm in fasting mode I can cook and not worry about it. I do at times have a piece of raw veg, or taste a meat sauce (Tony being vegetarian can't taste those for me). Once you get into ketosis it will switch back and forth without hunger - sounds like you hit ketosis last night.

ACV does help with cravings.

Thanks all.. chesgreen in definitely still learning. I think minitata was right.. I was on ketosis.. at dinner time last night you could have put my favourite soda bread in front of me and I still wouldn't have been hungry. It was so weird!! Anyway, managed 20 hour fast today so feeling much better! Avoided kettle chips x 2, cupcakes, mini battenbergs and bakewell slices in the kitchen in work today ( a colleague was leaving).. whereas at bedtime last night I would have commuted murder fir a Bakewell tart. So you're right minitata.. that feeling definitely did pass 😉👍

A lb loss is superb, well done, you must be chuffed! :-) And IF could well be helping with the joints; one of the benefits of IF apparently is those extended fasting periods help the body focus on healing, tissue repair, etc. I did 5:2 for awhile after being inspired by the documentary a couple of years ago, but was one of the unfortunate ones who found that it really disrupted my sleep patterns (apparently for women, this can happen; so much of the IF research esp. early on was only done on men)....that said, I'm all for IF and often use 16/8 or longer instead, great if I'm planning a meal out that night. :) Aaaaanyway - keep up the good fight!
