mskestrela's Journal, 13 Jul 17

Boy am I glad to have the day off today! It seems like all my clients just HAD to come in this week. Tuesday and yesterday were long and non-stop. Tomorrow is going to be even longer. Saturday will be shorter, but very grueling, because one of the clients coming in is in a huge wheelchair, and has to be lifted from it into the shampoo chair, and then back. The good news is that this week's income basically triples my bank balance. LOL
I was so tired Tuesday night, I went to bed early and slept 10 full hours! I don't remember the last time I slept that long. And, although yesterday was supposed to be the higher carb day, I was too tired to be hungry.
I discovered another NSV the other day: my back-bewbs are gone! Almost as long as I can remember, I've had those little rolls at the top of my lats. So I was checking my side view in the mirror, and they're just...gone! Not sure when that happened, but good riddance, I say.
I have a to-do list for the day, but I have a feeling a nap is more likely. :P
I wish you all success and happiness today.

Realize that your work is strenuous, etc. but it seems that you are being rewarded in many ways besides monetarily. Enjoy your nap...the to do list can always be done tomorrow, Miss Scarlett....

They do sell a Homecare Products EZ Shampoo Hair Washing Tray where you can keep the wheelchair client right into the chair and use the tray unless the sink is too high http://www.vitalitymedical.com/homecare-products-ez-shampoo-hair-washing-tray.html

Thanks everyone! @prallis, that's a good link, but her 'outside' chair is a monster...almost like an ATV chair. The front to back length is probably close to 48 inches. And, unfortunately, the sinks we have, have the chairs attached in the unit. No way to move them aside. Between her mother and me, we manage to transfer her pretty well. She's not a small woman, but she is sweet and very kind. She has cerebral palsy, pretty severe. But she has a wonderful mind. She's a lawyer, and an activist. She gives me strength, because I'm whole, hardy and hale. "There, but for the grace of God..."
