So, I went up a bit.. but I'm sure this will balance out as I'm staying on plan.
Having an " eat the freezer contents" week so I can defrost it
Found some frozen prawns and there were avocados in the fridge..made a really tasty lunch 😋
Ate tuna mayo for dinner, wasn't tempted by the jacket potatoes the family was eating as I'm really focussed on getting to goal. Then went to my bestie's house to drop off suitcases..her children had made katsu chicken, which I love and I managed to just have the broccoli. It was cooked with garlic and ginger and a dash of chilli oil.. so different to the steamed broccoli I normally cook,,
I think I'll have to get more adventurous in the kitchen. I'm really tempted by the smell of food, will have to work in including new flavours!


Today is a year since my last cousins wedding. I thought I looked ok, I was roughly the same weight as I am now. But I was just looking through pictures to post a nice one on Facebook.. saw myself on the edge of a group photo.. I just looked really round, like a barrell, with massive boobs on top.
So, although I was shocked at how round and fat I looked, I can see that even at a similar weight, my shape has really changed and the IF and Low carb are really reducing my insulin resistance and stored fat 😁😁😁😁😁😁
It's a lovely day here, finishing my tea with the cat, looking out over the fields. Gonna be as active as I can today and burn a few calories.. will try the exercise bike again..

I looked back yesterday.. I haven't been sub 170 since sept 2015 😊. I think once I'm within 10lbs of my 153.9lbs goal, I'm gonna lower my goal to 149.9lbs.. I've been inspired by others reaching 50lbs weight loss, but psychologically it's just that bit too far away at the moment. But 149.9 would mean I'd lost 25% of my original body weight and that would make me and my kids really proud 🤔🤔

I've noticed my body shape has changed a bit in a year too. Not for the worse, either! Hang on in there, Poppy! You're doing so well

That broccoli sounds good, Poppy. I was shocked at my photos of me in a swimsuit in May, but I've lost almost 10 lbs since coming back from Greece and I can see I've lost a lot off my tummy. I'm glad your low carb diet is working so well for you and getting the stored fat down. I need to move a bit today as well - was very lazy yesterday. Hope you have a great Sunday 🙂

Have you considered switching to whole milk? Semi/skimmed are just lactose and hormones. I now find tea made with semi skimmed tastes sweet as if it is sugared. 🤔

Thanks ffbb.. I normally try to have whole milk, but I'm working my way thru the contents of the freezer over the last couple of weeks, ready for defrosting. I used to spend all my school holidays on my grandparents dairy farm, so I love the taste of full fat milk.. I enjoy it so much with this WOE, not feeling guilty that it's full of "bad fat" and o should be drinking skimmed. Infact, this morning I put in semi and whole milk into my diary to see the difference in net carbs.. it would add up to a lot over a week. So I'll get OH to buy me some when he dies food shopping today. Well done on a week of the bs diet 👏👏

Shrimp and avocados make me happy, too. Old pictures make me cringe, though it's mostly because I've sported rather unattractive hairstyles and clothing that I try to laugh off. I plan to have a major makeover once I hit 10 pounds from my goal weight as a reward/incentive to work super-hard to lose that last bit.
