98 days to go!
174.4lbs! % body fat 43.4%
Down 1.6 lbs .🎉🎉🎉🎉
Maybe it was all those stress hormones and lack of sleep stopping me losing weight. We'll soon see.
Off to work soon to do battle with the carb filled kitchen at work. I've watched colleagues who take " a few crumbs " or "a mini slice " or " a little bite" every time they come in to make a cuppa, use the microwave or toaster. With 2 exceptions, none of these people are slim!
From what I've learnt about people with insulin resistance like me, this keeps spiking insulin levels. Makes me more determined to avoid all those yummy looking treats
Have a happy day fs friends 😁

You're right, Poppy...those of us who are insulin resistant can't afford to eat every couple of hours. Nice drop!

You have to take in consideration what these people are eating every couple of hours. Nibbles, bites, a few crumbs, mini slices, etc. of carb ladden/sugary junk is challenging to anyone's blood sugar. No one should be doing that for sure. The ones who are overweight probably eat junk all day and too frequently. I am not Diabetic and I can feel immediately when there is just too much sugar involved. I don't like that feeling and I avoid those foods. Poppy, do they just load the kitchen/break area at your work with trash all the time?

Ccbabcock..yes they do Lots of us are part timers, but There's probably about 30 people share that kitchen. I've only really noticed it since I was away for nearly a year off sick... it really is like the scales falling from my eyes. Even if it's not the sugary crap in the kitchen, someone is always popping to the shops if u want a choc bar/fizzy drinks and colleagues go and collect/ have food delivered e.g. Pizza, chips, fried chicken, baguettes etc. I suppose I should be happy to work with friendly colleagues who like to share and help one another put, but no one else there really seems to notice the food culture. I didn't before either !

I know that eating mini-meals every 2-3 hours or so is one way to Diet, but I have not seen enough people get down to a reasonable size for their frame using the Snacking Method. Too easy to forget to count all the calories, too easy to snack too often, since the habit of eating in-between meals is now engrained.

It's great that you are very aware of the situation Poppy. At least they are great co-workers.
