mskestrela's Journal, 03 May 17

The weight from the Puerto Rican feast is back off. Not bad, only a couple of days of hard keto and IF.
After yesterday's clam sauce fail, I ended up just eating a few cashews and some Parm Crisps. I had bought a package of them a couple of weeks ago, but hadn't tried them yet. They're all the rage in the keto community. They are quite strong tasting, and not really to my liking...they leave a wonky aftertaste. I still want to try making them myself, to see if they're any better homemade. I have a recipe that piles Parmesan on pepperoni slices to make a cracker. I might do that in miniature for my next little video.
Today is a short day at work, but I have to do my nails. Now that I have my new stove, I have to get the hands looking their best for the closeups. LOL!
I found a new Low Carb food purveyor that sells freshly baked bread products, as well as bread and pasta mixes. I learned about them on a video, and have placed an order for some of the mixes. The baked goods are pretty pricey, but the mixes are more reasonable. An 8-slice mini loaf of bread at $5.95 is too high! If you're interested in the company, it's at http://www.holdthecarbs.com/
Have a wonderful Wednesday, buddies!

Do you reeaaaalllly need the bread? I congratulate you on having the willpower to eat a reasonable dinner last nite - the scale reflects it, even if you felt disappointed. Pepperoni puddles up grease, so not sure that your parmesan will be crispy with that pairing.

The bread isn't a need, it's a reallyreallyreally WANT. LOL! After a year of (99%) bread free, I'd kill for a real sandwich, or toast to go with my eggs. The pepperoni crackers will be, like most recipes I've tried this year. If it works, I'll incorporate it in the regular rotation. If not, move on. :)
