*Sigh* I do not know what's going on with this body!
I've been staying in the Keto-zone consistently, with perfect macro ratios. I've recorded a minimum of 2000kcal deficit every day, and have upped the exercise as much as my aching back will tolerate. Aside from my birthday sushi splurge (a whopping 115g carbs) I have been under 20g daily. And my weight is up 7 lbs from the lowest since I started LCHF.
I have been doing IF every day. Most times it's 23/1, although the last couple of days it's been more like 18/6.
I'm getting really discouraged!
So today, I had to take my car in for much needed maintenance. I walked a couple of miles to the nearest shopping, wandered around stores, had a perfect LCHF lunch, and then shopped for another couple of hours. Then I walked back to the dealership, another couple of miles, carrying 20+ lbs of purchases, in 90 degree heat. (The most exercise I've done in months!)
One of the purchases was a digital scale. I've been using an old analog scale, and it isn't terribly accurate. I'm hoping the new one will help me see the changes better.
I had been reading about "Carb Night", and how it supposedly spikes insulin and resets the metabolism. I've also read how that's total bulls**t, and it just derails all the efforts of ketogenic diets. I think I'm going with the bulls**t theory. If it takes 3-4 weeks to get keto-adapted, how on earth is a weekly spike supposed to work?? I know since my sushi splurge, a lot of the cravings that had disappeared have been niggling their way back in.
