4 ciders + bouncy castle assault course = fat lip + grazed elbow

I think having the weekends off is not helping with any weight loss - I seem to undo five good days in one sweep of a weekend. It is so hard this time of the year as we have plans nearly every single weekend for the next six weeks all revolving around food and drink. If I was maintaining it would be great. Oh well back on track today......

Don't worry Jo - it was very funny - just so grateful I didn't bump my teeth....now I got a red mark above my lip that needs to heal before a wedding on Saturday!

I found having the weekends off didn't work for me. I would eat/drink 3000 calories both days then spend the rest of the week getting back to where I was etc etc. Now I try to balance a bit better. eg if I have a take away I don't have chocolate or pudding. If I eat healthy I will have wine and a few of my favourite chocs. Things like that. Be careful out there!

I definitely see that Bunty - I was kind of eating and drinking as much as I could fit in Saturday to Sunday night....so will be more conscious of it from this weekend, but may be tough with the wedding coming up, but will definitely be more mindful.

ooh a wedding, have you got your wedding outfit yet? i'm sure you will have plaenty of choice shoes wise lol. When is the wedding?

Hi Jo - yes shoes are not a problem in my life lol. But the dress a big problem....I don't fit into any of my party dresses from last year :( So I bought this dress that I thought looked good...but my son took one look at it and asked why I wanted to wear a shapeless sack...pretty much summed it up. So I wasn't going to change it, then I saw a lovely dress on Asos last week and I love it...my son is right shape makes you look better, even when you are carrying weight! The wedding is on Saturday and is one of my bestie's daughter :)

Well I know the feeling! My weekends are lasting 4 days as I seem to be cooking/eating well on Mondays as well. We had a massive spaguetti bolognese yesterday! Oh dear! Back on track today or me too.

lol MadreVeronica I hear you...last week I battled to keep Friday in the five good days. I think I am of the personality that needs to be strict nearly every day to get anywhere....

One of my many mantras is 'I don't do baggy' All my clothes are fitted. That soon tells you when the weight is creeping on. I find it helps my posture too. It is also good for motivation - nowhere to hide!! (I do have fat and thin outfits but the difference is size, not fit)

Good mantra Bunty - a life in leggings is a life in denial - fitted all the way!

ooh I like that one about the leggings! I may borrow that from you. Lol.
