Day 4 - Cabbage Soup "diet"

Last night was a bit of a melt down. In hindsight I should have bought more veg so I could have done a fresh stir fry....but I used the roasted veg from the other day....blah and the soup was just a double blah! I managed to eat a plate of the veg but just couldn't face the soup.

I was sitting there feeling very sorry for myself and then thought about some of the websites I had read and someone mentioned they had had veggie crisps....so I text hubby and asked him to please bring me a bag on his way home. Well he didn't even get a second glance as I grabbed the bag from him and ran - just glancing at the ingredients...parsnips, carrots, beets, sunflower oil and salt - perfect.

It was only a (short) while later when the bag was empty and I was sitting there feeling a bit better when I read the rest of the bag...for 150g it was a total of 750 CALORIES!! I mean the veg must be near to nothing - how much sunflower oil could they pack into 150g of veg???????? Oh well it was too late worrying about it then.....it was at this point that hubby said he thinks I shouldn't continue with this.

I'm a bit torn as I would like to stick it out.....but now tomorrow we are not going to the concert....so have decided to do the clear out of all the rubbish we have round the garden and house....lots of lifting and loading and I seriously don't have the energy to clean the house at the moment, never mind even try that. So there's my dilemma.

I have to eat bananas and skimmed milk (I have replaced with oat milk) and soup today so might have more energy than I have had. I think I am going to have to see how I feel later. Tomorrow is a beef and tomatoes day, but it's not like I can have that for breakfast to get me going.....ugh....I think I might be done with this.....

But on the upside I now know what I can do and sticking to a good calorie controlled diet next week should be much easier - I am also eager to plan my week of food. Hubby says me cutting back this week has also helped him - he's lost two pounds....so it's all good really :)

Added later....it seems that I have an upset tummy :( don't know if body is rejecting the crisps...the veg...ugh not going to do much for my low energy levels.....perhaps this is part of the plan and is why people lose so much weight....I would rather not thanks....

Aw bless you Tracy, I didn't say anything before as I didn't want to put you off as I think things work differently for us all. When I did this diet I had low blood sugar, banging headache and was generally grumpy, I did lose wright but sadly it went back on even tho I tried to be sensible, that was about 14 years ago but maybe it's changed. Hope yoyr tummy is better soon and what a bummer aboyt your concert being cancelled. Hope you have a good weekend xx

Yeah that was pretty much my experience too...but the tummy upset today was the last straw. I had a lovely moussaka dinner tonight :)
