Super happy with the DASH diet - I just feel better and have more energy. I have been reading about high blood pressure and it is totally preventable with proper nutrition (focused on treating high BP). I wish my Dr. had told me that when I was diagnosed a few years ago. Either way, I know about it now and I am doing something to hopefully get it under control without medication! Super bonus that the weight is coming off at a pretty good clip. I have next week off of work so I am absolutely slammed - which gets to my weakness...I start work early and work through my lunch so no exercise! Home life is ok - my son is all excited about the vegetarian dishes I cooked this week and we are trying them together when possible. Super busy this week too with home life - we had a band concert Tuesday and I have to go to a parent orientation for an hour for MS band tonight. Plus, my son just has sports every night except Friday - usually - but this Friday he has a private tennis lesson since the coach has been out of town for the past 3 weeks. My husband is in a bad back phase right now - it always feels like it is about to go out and he has a ton of pain. So I am keeping up with the household chores as best as I can. Overall, life is good and I am happy that I am working on getting myself healthy! I will be over the moons excited for my next milestone but I need to take one day at a time! =)
