I've just finished my first 36 hour fast. I'd originally intended to do 48 hours, but I'm so shaky and faint (my vision keeps blacking out, my heart is beating abnormally strongly as if I've just sprinted 500m and I can't walk in a straight line without feeling like keeling over). I guess I'm just not strong enough to do 48h. If any of you know what is wrong with me, please comment, advice would be very much appreciated.
58 kg Lost so far: 4 kg.    Still to go: 3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

possibly need electrolytes, start with some pink Himalayan salt and some low salt (potassium) magnesium tablets also. You may have flushed these all away from drinking lots of water

It does get easier, I do 36 hours without batting an eyelid now. The first time I did 42 hours I was ready to chew my own arm off by the time it ended!

Congrats on fasting that long. My parents would never ever allow me to fast for consecutive 35 hours. I did fast 16 hours every day last month but 48 hours is a lot.

For weakness you should take more salts, electrolytes cuz they help balance everything within your body. Dehydration can also cause dizziness.

Just your body adjusting plus detox from sugars and starch can be as violent as from opioids. It’ll pass. I once fasted 7 days consecutively. Our bodies are amazing just need a little time. Don’t do too much water as it flushed not only toxins but salts and minerals.

There is nothing wrong with you...know your limits and starvation requires training but it can be dangerous...so please listen to your body and your friends x

As you only have 6.6 lbs to lose, I fail to see why you need to fast anyway!
