Up down up down. I am close to just forgetting about all of this lol. Its kind of been the same story for over three months. I think I will avoid a bit of the caution on the calories and just focus more on my activity level. I'm striking out with a deficit average of about 1000 calories a day, so I'm definitely not winning.

Anyone else get over a particularly annoying plateau with any luck? I think my body wants to park here, but I am not happy with it.

My girlfriend weighs 63kg is well under her body fat weight, so she never loses anything, but is in a constant deficit, may just be the way it is, she is in the gym 3 days a week so maybe activity will help 💪🏻

Thanks mark@george what height is your gf - interesting she has a similar problem? I'm fairly active weights training, running (5/8k), tennis or swimming every day bar one. I also walk a lot always climb the stairs etc. Back in Dublin I would cycle 3/4 days a week up the mountain and I miss that. That was really great for keeping in around the 130s . I deliberately play synthetic tennis to get that harder faster workout too, and I play wiht intensity.. but although getting back to that fitter feeling scales are in total denial. Well for now any way. Deadlifting/crosfit is where I might go for next to up the ante a bit more. Thanks Adamevegod1 I seem to go through a stall every 8lbs or so.. being 10lbs off maintenance for so long.. is just frustrating lol

I found out an interesting fact this week... alcoholic beverages hinders fat loss. Because the calories it contains are empty calories which are the first fuel to be used... postponing fat burn. So if you enjoy the odd drink like myself this could step in front of your weight loss goals without you even having to go over your RDI. If I'd have realised thus sooner I'd gave reached goals a lit easier in the past, this may not apply to you but after I learned this thought certainly something worth sharing as I had no idea!

My girlfriend just weight trains, and then with work she drives most of the week so apart from gym she isn’t active and she is 5ft 6

Thanks DanniH I think I am going to knock off the Friday evening vino! I had switched up to drinking prosecco or chablis instead of sauvignon or cabernet for that reason because they're about 40/50 calories lighter a glass. And I skip dinner if I go for some vino. But at this point I think I might target a dry few weeks to see if I can tackle the next 5lbs.

Very frustrating but don’t give up as you’ve done so well. Danni’s idea is a good one - it can’t do any harm even if it doesn’t help. Try look for NSVs if the scales aren’t working for you. Feeling good about passing on the biscuits at work or buying something new in a size smaller. All the best!

Thanks you Ladies, Its great to hear your POVs. Me too on the Reds .. God they're like delicious on a Friday evening after a tough week .. I literally relish that moment of relaxation LOL Yeah I mean .. I'm trying to get off the number mindset which is harder. I'm definitely leaning up a bit and getting way more sport in. My runs too are improving week on week. I'm trying to switch up to general health and fitness rather than just the weight. Hopefully that just catches up in time.
