Well, today didn't go as planned...at ALL! Turns out that the electric co-op offices are about 500 meters from me, on the same road. That means that if even 10% of the 66,000 members showed up for the registration/voting/meeting/event, there were 6600 cars going past my house today. Impossible to get out of my driveway. Add to that the dire need to do my acrylic nails so I can shoot a new video, I didn't make it to the Taste of Beaufort event this morning. So, after doing my nails, I decided to walk to the event up the road. It was pretty confusing, but I finally figured out where to register and vote. One bonus was a free mini-crockpot. There was music and a festival atmosphere, and apparently, the weekend of the meeting is a great time to stage yard sales, as almost every home along the highway was having one. LOL! Still, after Phil's post of his smoked ribs, I was craving some. So, after walking home carrying my free crockpot, I got in my car and drove down to the local grocery store that does rotisserie ribs. I planned to get a full rack, and save half for a lunch. They had none. GRRRRRR! I ended up getting KFC. Our local one varies in quality a LOT, depending on the shift. Tonight's was really crappy. While I was waiting for my nails to dry, I did do about 30 minutes of arm/chest/back exercises with my 5-lb dumbbells. I expect I will be pretty sore on Monday.
