Started the day in pain, ended the day in pain, so unfortunately returned back to my old habits of comfort eating. It was only dinner that I blew. I'm over my RDI by about 500cals. still tomorrow is another day!

So far so good. I'm managing to stay well under my RDI with around 400 cals to spare and was intending to go on the exercise bike every day. Un fortunately I've now pulled my back and am in agony again so have to take it easy for a few days till it eases off. Little steps, one at a time!

First day of turning things around and I think I've done ok. I've never done calorie counting before, just followed slimming world. At the time I did really well losing 9 stone 7 but for a hundred different reasons I put all the weight back on. This time though I can't be quite as strict as I'm older and it's just not practical, plus it was damned expensive, so I'm going to cut back on what I eat, how I eat, and what my daughter is eating too. If I can stay within my calculated allowance and then try and do a bit of exercise on top I might just crack it for good. I do need to work out how to put recipes into my food diary as I make all my evening meals from the two chubbycubs website and they have to be worked out into calories etc. So for now, watch this space
