I need help!!
I obviously had a good Christmas break but I have a feeling it is more about the increase in my muscle mass. I have been doing some strength training and maybe I should cut back on this. I feel stronger and am losing inches round my waist. I think I must be doing something wrong. I need to drop the weight and reduce my BMI.
Diet has been moderate. I think I am not getting the combination of diet and exercise right in order to acheive fat loss and strength. I am confused with many ideas out there.

Experimental binge
I have been on low carb diet (high fat, low protein) for more than 90 days now, increased my level of activities and now believe to have more control over my appetite. I have been able to manage my portion size and now conscious of what goes through my mouth (and why). As you know, all these have helped me to achieve some fat loss, dropped 2 dress sizes and begin the positive match towards my goal – healthy life.
Hmmm! What did yours truly decided to do yesterday?! Carry out an impromptu experimental carb binging!! I decided to see how much control I can have over full carb consumption…. (embarrassed face). Oh, dear Lord…. I completely lost it!! I literally had no control over how much and when I could or could not eat. As soon as I started with a bag of crisps, I went for more and began to crave even more carbs especially sugary stuff and must have consumed over 3500 cals of absolutely rubbish food – list: crisps, croissants, white rice, malted drink, burger with white bread, and was craving for even more, including snickers and bounty chocolate - which I was able to resist with all my strength.
At this stage, I was in shock and tearful knowing (remembering) the reality of how much of these foods I could consume in the past without flinching!! I finally drank some milk which later calmed me down for some reason as I didn’t know what else to do to restrain myself.
I woke up this morning exhausted, very jittery and could not stop shaking! I looked back to yesterday and was glad I went through that experience. It helped me to recognise that I have truly gone through a healing process in these 90 days because the food listed above were mainly my diet before I began the healthy living journey.
I now know that I am absolutely sensitive to all ‘unwhole’ carbs and can only consume whole carbs in limitation. I have been doing very well on high fat and low protein with occasional whole food carbs (vegetables, sweet potatoes and limited fruits).
I don’t ever want to experience such binging again!!! Please, Lord!

Gained!! I don't know which scale is correct - home or hospital's!! I weighed at home today and got 132kg!! I keep losing inches off my waist - 10inches so far (August to date). Dropped from UK sizes 26/28 to 20/22. I've increased my exercise regime and intensity in the last 2 weeks. Continued to maintain low carb diets - with high fat and low/high protein. I know a lot of people have said don't look at the scale but I just can't help it!!
