Starting to see patterns I need to deal with. My excessive all day coffee habit and stress triggering cravings. I won't give up my coffee but I will have my last cup of the day at 5:00 PM and see if that helps with my insomnia. The second one needs quite a bit more thought and the 7 essential P's.

Rough day. I was o.k. till my son asked me to get him a piece of his ice cream cake. After that, it was like I was on a bender that started with some of his ice cream cake, then a sugar free candy, then on to saltines and a double portion of almonds in an attempt to try to bring myself back round and finishing off with a couple of whole grapefruit. I have no one to blame but myself. I am picking myself up, dusting myself off and driving my wagon tomorrow so my hands will hopefully be too busy to fall off of it again anytime soon.

I prepare 80% of the meals for my household and I make them as healthy as I can. Then they add lots of butter, salt and sugar (if it warrants) to it, and if they can get away with it. I am the only one watching what I eat so I see all kinds of food brought in and consumed that I myself shouldn't eat. Pizza, Chinese Food, Fritos Flavor Twists Honey Flavor (another weakness of mine), Root Beer Floats, ect...
Some of it looks AMAZING! Then, I will get cravings, have water and come here to this site. Just seeing that others are here logging in their struggles, successes and stumbles along side me has really been keeping me on track. I really want a pack of sweet tarts right now so I will substitute a couple of chewable vitamin C tablets to savor and head off to bed. Goodnight.

I was really out of sorts today. I was in a weird kind of mood and wasn't interested in eating or exercising. I know I had to do it so I wouldn't fall off of my plan and that was the only reason I did so. I think I may be getting really nervous about going home to Cali on vacation. I will be staying with family and I have a tendency to fall back into my old role and old habits around them.

I was too tired to journal last night but when I woke up this morning and weighed myself I couldn't believe my scale. Yay! It's moving in the right direction. :D
