Debbie Cousins's Journal, 16 Feb 18

10:45am - A bit discouraged, and trying some new things today. (You can read all about it on the "Christian Community" Group, under Topic "206 206 206 206 Sigh").

11:10am - I am broken out in a TOTAL sweat right now, after spending 15 minutes prewashing dishes & loading dishwasher, then doing a BONUS 100 revolutions on my arms & 100 on my legs. Off to a good start today, though MANY things are changing, in or1der to get my weight-loss rear in gear!

11:15am - Just finished my first liter of water (11:14am).

12:19pm – Sorted dirty laundry, put away hang-up clothes, washed load of whites, folded & put away 2 loads of clean laundry (that have been sitting there for 2 weeks!)

12:45PM – eating my homemade sub salad with no mayo or ranch dressing. Just using the juice from the tomato to moisten it, so I won’t go over on my calories.

Hubby almost never eats lunch, but he wanted some today, and we always watch tv while we eat together in our recliners. Afterward, he wanted to take a nap, and I did, too. I always eat IMMEDIATELY when I wake up. I was debating on WHICH thing on my list to eat. The avocado seemed smaller than usual, so I scooped it all out of the shell and removed the seed and measured it in grams (instead of just choosing “Haas Avocado”, like I usually do). I still had JUST enough Fat to make it 25g even, and it cut my calories by almost 25.

Lazy afternoon and evening with dh; BUT, I DID accomplish the BIG goal of keeping my calories under 1,600! It took a lot of fenagling and pre-planning, but it was well worth it! I even got to squeeze in TEN red grapes at the end of the day (which was GREAT, not only because I have been wanting some, but because they really cleaned me out!)

TODAY’S TOTALS: Fats: 72%, Carbs 14%, Protein 14%, Calories, 1,599, Fiber 30.7, Net Carbs 29.77 (the net carbs would have been just over 21 if I hadn’t added in the grapes, but I’m so glad I did!) Exercise/Activity 2,005 calories. I think that if I can keep my calories down for at least a week, I’ll see probably 2-3 pounds of weight loss. Planning ahead was the key to a successful day! Here's my Indulgent Brownie Cheesecake! It was an edge piece, so not as pretty as if I had taken one from the center of the pan. Still BEAUTIFUL to me, though!
