I've had a few comments on how well I am maintaining my weight and I feel like a bit of a phoney.
There's nothing clever and it's not a triumph of willpower. Seriously, the major change is that I drink a lot less beer. I've reduced my intake from 32 litres a month, down to about 6 litres. Somebody clever will know what that means in terms of calories. The minor change is an appreciation of portion sizes and how much my shrunken stomach can handle.
The biggest contributer to my continued weight control is the feedback from all the lovely people on Fatsecret.

Thanks Willie. You're a great support too. The thing is, portion control is probably all there is to maintenance but at the end of the day, "eyes-bigger-than-belly" syndrome kicks in too easily along with being brought up to clear whatever's on our plate. A recipe for disaster if we don't keep ourselves in check. In terms of calories in the beer, you've reduced by roughly 5,000 a month (depending on beer type) which is commonly held to be the equivalent of around 1.5LB or 0.7kg a month which is slow but tangible loss rate. Still impressive work on your part!

Willie, what Phooka said! 🙋🏻Don’t feel like a fraud! LOL portion control is one of the hardest struggles for us all. 🙇🏻‍♀️That, and for some, like me, not eating everything in sight when I’m upset because the taste centers of my brain trigger the pleasure centers and make me feel better. 🤦🏻‍♀️But that is a different issue.💁🏻‍♀️Being able ti control your intake in a balance is a wonderful example for other people!

me tooo i always wonder how you maintain your weight, reducing amount of beer will be good for your body now after loosing fat and some weight, think that i need to maintain my weight cz i’ve met my goal and lil bit too much loosing weight hha do you often calculate your daily calorie intake or you just eat as usual?

@wind - no calcs or keeping track of intake. I eat responsibly and try to remember how I felt at almost 85kg. if I slip above 70kg, then I make a real effort to lose weight
