That day when nothing goes according to plan...
This morning, the keto-strips showed a deep purple, but the scales haven't moved an ounce. No worries. Not hungry, no food. I did a few things around the house, and got diverted by historical documentaries on YouTube (my new obsession).
I had defrosted some 'country style pork ribs', but wasn't sure what to do with them. I saw that one of the vloggers I follow posted from China, and was inspired to make a Chinese pork stew with low-carb noodles.
So, yeah.....I spent 3 hours simmering the pork, making the noodles from scratch, putting it all together, only to have the keto food phenomenon kick in. I got my food jollies from making all of it, and by the time it was done, I had ZERO appetite. I had 2 bites, and I was DONE! I'm not even interested in saving the food I made because the satisfaction was in the making.
So, tonight, after a full day of pretty much no food, the keto-strips show barely a trace. WTF??? I do not understand.
Whatever.
Now I'm feeling peckish. The only things that sound remotely appealing are carb-laden. I will refuse to feed the monster, and kill it. Today is a fast day.
Maybe it's the dregs of the full moon, maybe it's the magnetic storm from the Sun, maybe it's the middle of the month blues....but today has been less than optimal.
Carry on, buddies. When you're at the bottom, the only way is UP!

I don't use keto strips but I am amazed on days when I keep my carbs low I don't lose weight. I keep with it anyway! I bet tomorrow you are down 2!
