Sarah1950's Journal, 12 Mar 17

I went to a Catholic Conference yesterday and I am feeling inspired. There was a great turnout for this event, over 800 in attendance. I met some awesome people who were so willing to share our Faith. I'm feeling a new enthusiasm for my Lenten journey.
We went to dinner at my daughters house and I ended my day horribly. 😤 Obviously I need to work harder on my self control. I failed to log my food yesterday. I think I have better control when I am faithful to my food diary, and, to you guys here, at FS. I find it easy to eat "whatever" when I'm not mindful of "HOW will I log this?"

It's a new day and you will do better! Remember to follow those Catholic Lenten regulations; that will help! I'm trying to follow them too. :)

I won't eat it if I can't log it.

Good advice, flaming...and yes DMZ, today is a new day and I've been true to my plan. WhooHoo thanks I'm over 60 so I'm not required to follow our fast & abstinence rules. But I do anyway...

As you can see I don't follow the fasting. At 74 I don't have to either, but like to try. Your doing great!

I try to log what I eat before I eat. That seems to help me stay in control. Of course, I don't always do that, lol.

the hardest days are the days you're out and about. At home you'll have better control and logging. Don't beat yourself up about a day off, just reset.
