My grandsons cat is gone. We're heartsick. He was a beautiful friendly and affectionate cat. We live in a rural area with lots of predators. We've scoured the forest and bogs and neighborhood to no avail. The last hope is that a neighbor took him in.

So sorry. We have a fisher cat in our neighborhood that has taken some cats and a dachshund. So, creepy. I hope your kitty comes home!

So very sorry. Two of my friends have lost beloved dogs in the past week -- to sudden illness. Must be something in the air. It is so hard to lose a pet member of the family.

I feel your pain... We lost one in May.... He was only about six months old and he liked to sneak out at night. I like to think someone found him (he never left his collar on and was always losing it), but truth be told, we have a pack of both wolves and coyotes very close to our home... Prayers and well wishes....

Thank you all for your compassion. I can't believe the gospel reading today was the prodigal son returning home. No such "return" for my beloved cat.
