Here's something to think about: "Never say anything about yourself you do not want to come true." ~ Brian Tracy ---- Be kind to yourselves and others ---- Yes, this also is true while we are on our health and wellness journeys.

Glen, you are such a kind and loving man! You never have to apologize to me! The love you show your family and friends brings light to my life. I am so grateful that you are on this site and my buddy! Happy Easter :)

Such a good conversation thread - y'all. My sister pointed out to me that when we were growing up the adults in our life used to wag their finger and say to us kids, "shame on you!" Pointing out our bad behaviors. The guilt & public humiliation (for those of us with a conscious) would help us learn right from wrong and regulate our behaviors. We turned out okay! We got over it and learned our lessons well. "Shame on you!" Is never heard any more - In the 1970's it became politically incorrect to correct kids, with the thought that God forbid that we damage their little "self esteems". Now there is such an alarming and appalling sense of entitlement & disrespect among people, that I think a little "shame on you!" May just be what society needs again. I always say, "wrap your rebuke with lots of love, kindness and grace". Like Glen stated, "Forgiveness is healing and loving." Just like the home grown remedies are making a come back, perhaps a little old fashion "it takes a village to raise a child" is needed too. And TLC to nurture the wounded child inside of us and move on, live and learn, don't get stuck on the pity pot, and also to tell our inner brat to straighten up and make amends.
