Bugger! I did it again....made my journal entry vanish :(
Apart from a couple of desserts I have NO cooking to do this christmas :)
For christmas day I will make a flourless orange cake with christmas pudding icecream and a plumsauce and for boxing day a one bowl chocolate cake. Both are rich and decadent.
This is the least prepared I have ever been and I like it. For once I am not falling into the trap of wasting lots of money on presents, rushing around in the crowds in town. I just haven't got the time, the patients or the spirit. It is just so commercialist. I do the rest....being with family, decorating the house, making the gooodies. But that is it. Bahumbug ;)

Nothing bahhumbug about what you're doing, those are the important things and what really matters.

Those cakes sound delicious!
And no - not bah humbug at all. People have lost focus about what Christmas should be and it has, as you said, become so over-commercialised. Walking through town and it's full of people buying "stuff" that no one really needs, so much needless hassle and stress and MONEY spent. It should just be a nice day with family, good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
